Building a strong foundation for exceptional care in neighborhoods across Indiana and South Suburban Chicago
Behavioral Health
Franciscan Health provides a full spectrum of behavioral health services that focus on treating the whole individual: mind, body and spirt. Many people dealing with behavioral health issues such as family difficulties, career pressures, anxiety, depression or a loss of self-worth, can get better with the help of Franciscan Health’s dedicated behavioral health team. Your support will go a long ways toward helping them take that first crucial step: finding the help they need to return to a normal life.
COVID-19 Franciscan Preparedness & Response Fund
As the world responds to COVID-19, the Franciscan Health Foundation has created the Preparedness & Response Fund to support our response to this public health crisis.
Gifts to this fund will help address the urgent need for supplies and equipment in our healthcare facilities – items that will protect and care for our patients, staff and overall community. Our skilled teams have assessed and will continue to determine what is needed in this rapidly evolving situation. Your donation will have a direct impact.
Some examples of the equipment already identified include ventilators, oxygen concentrators, ultraviolet (UVC) robots that can assist with disinfecting efforts and medical supplies and equipment to outfit expanded patient care areas currently being prepared in advance of a patient surge.
As time passes and this current public health crisis fades, this fund will continue to provide preparedness and response assistance to natural disasters, emerging disease outbreaks or bioterrorist threats.
Community Health & Wellness
This fund assists the most vulnerable populations in the communities we serve by providing educational programming around social justice and improving health equity, interventions designed to improve access to basic needs and health services, like food and health screenings, and furthering our work on building resilient families and communities.
Employee Emergency Fund
No one should have to make a choice between buying food for their table or dealing with an unexpected financial emergency. The Franciscan Health Employee Emergency Fund helps in times of unexpected need with interest-free loans. Please help support this safety net for our employees.
Employee Wellbeing Fund
On average, one-third of our lives are spent at work. And maintaining a personal state of wellbeing while at work is critical. That’s why the Franciscan Health Foundation has established the Employee Wellbeing Fund. With this new fund, we will provide outlets for employees to manage and overcome signs of burnout, improve care delivery and supply opportunities for mental escapes encouraging mindfulness, creativity and fun.
Franciscan Leadership Pilgrimage Fund
Gifts to the Franciscan Leadership Pilgrimage Fund provides financial aid to our Franciscan employees who would otherwise not be able to afford the pilgrimage to Assisi, Italy.
Innovation Fund
One of the goals of Franciscan Health is to provide better care and better health at lower costs. Encouraging and stimulating pioneering ideas is one way to do that. Your support of our Innovation Fund gives us an opportunity to pursue innovative healthcare delivery models.
Nursing Excellence
Our 4,500 Franciscan Health nurses serve on the front lines of patient care by providing safe, compassionate, quality care to patients and their families. But the field of nursing is ever changing and it is critical that our nurses receive continuing education. That is why we created the Nursing Excellence Fund. Your support will go towards continuing education and training as well as resources to combat burnout and compassion fatigue.
Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration Fund
The Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration are the founding congregation of Franciscan Health. Their ethical values and Christian stewardship guide our health care ministry. Your gift to this fund supports vocations and education of the next generation of Sisters, helps care for retired Sisters and assists with other congregation needs.
